Having worked for years in the Berkeley/Oakland gourmet food scene, Michael has realized the key to a restaurant success: “Serve people great food & be nice to them." As Assistant General Manager at The Star on Grand, he is free to satisfy diners in a guest-centric fashion while still expressing his individuality.
In his spare time, he hangs with my kiddo, Eloise. He wants her well informed & evolved about the beauty of life–sentiments he brings to The Star. He also pretends he’s a chef and is actually a jazz musician. Ask him to come by the house for a Southern fish fry, bouillabaisse, and some cool jazz!
