Victor moved from Mexico City in the early 2000s and humbly started as a dishwasher and prep cook. Soon after that he began to buss tables and barback before moving on to became a server and bartender. A true example of how to work your way up, he became Assistant General Manager at a tapas bar in charge of the wine list and bar program.
After working in several Bay Area restaurants and bars, he’s become comfortable in all areas of hospitality. His latest goal is learning to be chef as well. Victor’s passion for the restaurant industry is what’s faithfully kept him at The Star on Grand location. He’s now General Manager at the flagship restaurant and looks forward to growing the brand with his hospitable bartender charm.
